In this awe-inspiring journey, you will discover that stone was clay in the hands of a breed of legendary sculptors, the likes of which are no longer around.

We will visit one of the ancient world's tallest free-standing sculptures created over a millennia ago, then gaze at idyllic countryside scenes that will invoke the meaning of life and such thoughts.

Praveen is an extremely easy to get along with person with a good soul and excellent driving skills. I went with family and another person who was also wonderful. He's brilliant at accommodating for people with allergies or food preferences (vegan/vegetarian). He also has a vast amount of knowledge not just based upon the sites you visit but the cultural and historical value of India which allowed me to get a largely different perspective on the places we were visiting.Most of all I loved that he took no for an answer when trying new things without pushing further and I loved that no matter where we went, he provided a sense of security and adventure. Brilliant time, honestly the best pick for a tour guide I've had in any country I've been to in my life.

We booked a Hidden Gems tour and were lucky enough to have Praveen as our host — he was absolutely fantastic. His knowledge of Indian history and culture was outstanding, and he shared information in a way that was rich, engaging, and never overwhelming. We felt like we learned so much while still being able to relax and enjoy the 13-hour day!We were given VIP access everywhere, skipping queues and moving through sites effortlessly. As a bonus, we also visited a local flower and spice market, tried some incredible traditional Indian sweets, and got a real taste of everyday life — literally!Praveen took loads of fun photos for us and made a genuine personal connection. It felt like travelling with a friend who knew all the secrets of the city.Lunch was a highlight — a beautiful riverside spot, delicious food, and monkeys playing in the trees beside us. Pure magic.Yes, it’s on the expensive side — but the value is exceptional. The professionalism, authenticity, care, and ethical approach make it totally worth it. Best option for outsiders if anyone's wondering how to explore Mysore. The Guide Praveen was really nice and helpful throughout the tour and patiently answered all our questions. As a local I would high recommend for outsiders if you want to travel and experience local food and feel either solo or with friends.

This was such an amazing tour! The guide was absolutely extraordinary – truly the best tour guide I’ve ever had. Every part of the experience was thoughtfully planned, filled with genuine “wow” moments and never a single filler stop. What stood out most was how authentic it felt. I never once felt like I was just being treated as a tourist. Instead, he brought us into his world and guided us through a rich cultural experience, sharing his heritage in a way that was both personal and unforgettable.A warm, thoughtful thank you to Praveen – he truly took care of us every step of the way. He is such a genuine, kind person, and his sense of humor made sure there were lots of laughs along the journey. We just got back from a trip of a lifetime in South India that was developed and accomplished with the assistance of Praveen (Hidden Gems Tours). We utilized Hidden Gems Tours exclusively for 12 days, with Praveen as our guide and his excellent drivers. We have traveled the world for over 30 years and utilized many excellent guides, but Praveen was by far the best. His knowledge, passion, and attention to the details needed to allow a traveler to feel safe, comfortable, and like family are 2nd to none. The trip included both Bangalore and Mysore and was awesome. Some of the highlights included receiving blessings at both Hindu and Jain temples carved out of stone and thousands of years old, mounting an elephant, bareback, at the Mysore Palace, doing the pottery wheel with the family potter in one of the small villages on the way to a coffee plantation tour, taking a boat ride at a remote bird sanctuary (side by side with the crocodiles), walking through gardens and groves that housed tree specimens from all over the world that were over 300 years old, and many authentic South Indian meals with Praveen. An amazing time was had with Praveen, who helped create these memories that will be cherished forever. To say I highly recommend him is an understatement. He truly is the best at what he does!

Praveen helped us organize a 10 day private tour of Karnataka, and it was a great experience from start to the end. Planning was easy, and all our suggestions and changes were quickly handled.
